Redwan B. Rokon

Redwan B. Rokon is a Consultant at the Equitable Growth, Finance and Institutions Global Practice of the World Bank Group, and one of the co-founders of PROSHAR. He has over 7 years of experience working in the development sector, focusing on financial inclusion, gender/SME financing, digital financial services, private sector development, research and quantitative evaluation. During his career, he has worked and collaborated with USAID, DFID, World Bank, CIDA, Norwegian Embassy, WFP, DAI, and Nathan Associates, among others in Bangladesh, USA, England, and Myanmar.
Formerly, Redwan worked as investment and MRM lead at a DFID funded financial inclusion program – Business Finance for the Poor. He has worthwhile research experience at the International Food Policy Research Institute in Dhaka and Washington D.C. He co-authored a publication on “Assessing the Impact of Food Assistance on Stigma Among People Living with HIV in Uganda Using the HIV/AIDS Stigma Instrument-PLWA (HASI-P)” in AIDS and Behavior.
Redwan holds a Master’s in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Middlebury College. He is a Davis United World College Scholar and was a representative from Bangladesh to the UWC Mahindra College.
